Pace University had long provided coordinated programs for first-year students to promote their success. These efforts seemed effective as evidenced by a stabilized first-year retention rate of 76–77%. However, no special initiatives or programs addressed the needs of students in their sophomore year and there was growing concern over a drop off in retention rate. A “Sophomore Working Group,” comprised of faculty, academic administrators, and student affairs professionals, began to focus on developing a special program or “experience” for sophomores.

The Spanish-language version of NSSE's Pocket Guide to Choosing a College -- Una Guia de Bolsillo Para Escoger una Universidad: Preguntas a hacer en tus visitas universitarias -- expands access for Spanish-speaking families to important questions that students and parents should consider as they visit colleges and universities . NSSE offers free copies of the Spanish Pocket Guide to high schools, colleges and non-profit education organizations. More details...
