NSSE Logo Use Policy*
The purpose of this policy is to provide guidance on permissible use of NSSE, FSSE, and BCSSE logos. Each logo is registered with the United States Trademark and Patent Office (USTPO). Any individual, organization, or group wishing to use the NSSE, FSSE, or BCSSE logo must follow the permission guidelines below before posting the logo on a Web site.
Use of the NSSE, FSSE, and BCSSE Logos/Icons on Institutional Web Sites:
- The logo/icon must be “live” and linked to the NSSE, FSSE, or BCSSE homepages, www.nsse.iub.edu, www.fsse.iub.edu, www.bcsse.iub.edu.
- The logo/icon must appear by itself and not be part of another graphic or textual element on the Web page.
- You may not alter the proportions, color, elements, or animate or distort the appearance of the logo/icon provided.
- Use of and position of the logo/icon should not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation of the page content without explicit written permission from the Indiana University Center for Postsecondary Research.
- Use of the logo/icon must not be disparaging or defamatory to, nor present false or misleading information about NSSE, FSSE, or BCSSE. Use must not violate intellectual property rights or any state or federal laws.
If your use meets the above requirements, you do not need written permission and may download the following logos/icons. Please contact NSSE at 812-856-5824 if you have any further questions.
Use of NSSE, FSSE, and BCSSE Logos in Printed Publications
All requests to reproduce the NSSE, FSSE, or BCSSE logo or to use any other NSSE, FSSE, or BCSSE content in print documents such as research for publication, institutional promotional materials, conference programs and brochures, and related materials require written permission from the Center for Postsecondary Research at Indiana University Bloomington. Email permission from your client services team is acceptable. We encourage you to send us examples of the materials you are producing which feature any of the survey logos.
