NSSE Logo Use Policy

The Trustees of Indiana University own the copyright in and to the National Survey of Student EngagementSM ("NSSESM"), as well as the service marks and logos associated with NSSESM.

The purpose of this policy is to provide guidance on permissible use of NSSE logos. Any individual, organization, or group wishing to use a NSSE logo must follow the permission guidelines below before posting the NSSE logo on a Web site or using the NSSE logo in a print publication.

Policy Guidelines:
Use of NSSE Logo on Web Sites

  1. The icon must be “live” and linked to the NSSE homepage, www.nsse.iub.edu
  2. The NSSE logo/icon must appear by itself and not be part of another graphic or textual element on the Web page.
  3. You may not alter the proportions, color, elements, or animate or distort the appearance of the logos provided.
  4. Use of and position of the NSSE logo should not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation of the page content unless written permission has been granted.
  5. Use of the NSSE logo must not be disparaging or defamatory to, nor present false or misleading information about NSSE. Use must not violate intellectual property rights or any state or federal laws.

Use of NSSE Logo in Printed Publications
All requests to reproduce the NSSE logo or use any other NSSE content in print publications such as research for publication, institutional promotional materials, conference programs and brochures, and related materials require written permission from the Center for Postsecondary Research at Indiana University, Bloomington.
